Professional Accountants | Secundes

At Secundes, we’ve taken a proactive step towards making a difference in the lives of aspiring accountants. We have established our very own study fund, administered by the Helpende Hand Study Fund. This initiative is designed to provide invaluable support to students pursuing part-time studies while working full-time at Secundes. Today, we’d like to introduce you to two of the exceptional students currently benefiting from this programme.

Shaping futures with Secundes

Marinique Meintjes: Marinique embarked on her journey with Secundes in January 2020, and she’s been making remarkable strides ever since. She is currently working towards a BCom in Management Accounting. Marinique is scheduled to take the SAIPA Professional Evaluation in November 2023, with ambitious plans to become a SAIPA Professional Accountant by early 2024, pending her successful examination. As a Senior Audit Clerk at Secundes, Marinique is gaining valuable real-world experience. Furthermore, she has her sights set on future educational achievements, with plans to begin a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (CTA) through CA Connect in 2024. Successful completion of this programme will open doors to SAICA’s ITC, the first board exam on the path to becoming a Chartered Accountant.

Tea Louw: Tea’s career path with Secundes started in January 2018, immediately following her matriculation in 2017. She achieved a significant milestone by obtaining her BCom in Management Accounting in late 2020. Tea’s journey continued with the successful passage of the SAIPA Professional Evaluation on 4 June 2022. Notably, she formally attained SAIPA Professional Accountant status on 17 August 2022 and was recognised as a tax practitioner on the same date. Tea now holds the position of Team Manager and Junior Accountant at Secundes, a testament to her commitment to excellence.
